Four earn wrestling awards (The Wickenburg Sun)

Four Wickenburg youngsters recently participated in the Terminator World Wrestling Championships in Prescott Valley at the Tim’s Toyota Center. About 900 youngsters in grades kindergarten through 12th grade from all across the country competed in the event.

Pumel places second in MO USA Folkstyle State Wrestling Tourney (Boonville Daily News)

Boonville wrestler Dallas Pumel knew the title was there for the taking in the championship match last weekend during the Missouri USA State Youth Folkstyle Wrestling Championships at the Hearnes Center in Columbia.

Huskie Pup Wrestling Club wins first place (Stearns-Morrison Enterprise)

The Huskie Pup Wrestling Club traveled to Holdingford for the Husker Youth Wrestling Tournament and came home with the first place trophy. Forty-two Pup wrestlers competed against wrestlers from all over central Minnesota in the tournament.

WRESTLING: Eagles hand out team awards (The Sauk Prairie Eagle)

It was an exciting season for the Sauk Prairie prep wrestling team, which earned a share of the Badger North Conference’s dual meet title only after a loss to Reedsburg in the second-to-last meet of the season before finishing third overall after the conference meet.

Joe Popich ready to move on to next step after Lindbergh | Wrestling (Renton Reporter)

For Joe Popich, the end to his time as the Lindbergh wrestling coach came as a shock. In his second season as head coach, the program was growing and improving. But mid-way through the 2009-2010 wrestling season, Ray Garcia, a parent of three Lindbergh wrestlers, changed everything with the assertion that the Lindbergh coaches mentally abused wrestlers and Popich, 27, gave pills to wrestlers.
