Ridge youth wrestling team turns in solid showing in final dual meets (The Bernardsville News)

BERNARDS TWP. — Wrestling five matches in two days, Ridge completed its Central Jersey Wrestling League dual-meet with a pair of 7-2 verdicts (bouts actually wrestled) over Summit and Scotch season Saturday and then going 2-1 Sunday.

Future Pitt State players square off in wrestling (The Morning Sun)

A pair of future Pittsburg State football players matched up in the Class 4A state wrestling quarterfinals. Columbus’s Tank Burns, a future Gorilla defensive lineman, faced off against Cale Karigan of Paola, a future offensive lineman who will likely have to block Burns in practice. In wrestling, Burns won the showdown by major decision, 10-1.
